Ingredients
- 1/2 large (or 1 medium) yellow onion
- 1 can (15 oz) of tomato sauce
- 6 oz chicken breast
- 3/4 cup greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1 tbsp minced ginger-garlic
- 2 tsp red chili powder (x2)
- 1 1/2 tsp garam masala spice blend (x2)
- 1 1/2 tsp coriander powder (x2)
- 1 tsp turmeric (x2)
- 1 tsp oil
- salt
Directions
- Dice your onion into small cubes. In a heated pan, add in your oil and begin to sauté your onions.
- Once your onions have softened, add in your ginger-garlic paste and stir for a few additional minutes.
- Add your tomato sauce into the pan. Allow the sauce to simmer in the pan while occasionally stirring.
- While the sauce is cooking, dice the chicken and mix in the following spices: red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric, and a few pinches of salt.
- After your sauce has simmered, adjust the heat to medium-low, add the same spices as previously, and begin to cook your chicken. Keep the pan covered to prevent overcooking or drying out your chicken.
- When your chicken is almost finished cooking, add in your greek yogurt and continue to stir.
- Garnish with heavy cream and salt to taste. Serve with naan or over rice.
